Pipestone and BIG rock

On Thursday, I went on a field trip with the home school group. I went the pipestone quarry. Pipestone is red rock and is softer than other rock. Native Americans used it to make pipes. (to smoke) I also went to a felsenmeer. That is where a glacier pulls on debris (rocks) with it as it expands. The picture on the left is of the felsenmeer. I had fun climbing the rocks.

It was the funnest time with rocks in my life. It was fun.

what I saw:
  • pipestone
  • big rocks
  • a creek

I remember to look at your blog. It sounds like you had a very good time on your field trip. I'm waiting to see a picture of that cute little puppy! -Mimi
